Edwin's Antioxidant Chocolate-Banana Smoothie

Raw cocoa powder is a very good source of antioxidants and tastes absolutely great in a banana smoothie. Here is my recipe:

4 to 6 Very ripe bananas
1 level T raw cocoa powder
Cold water (to taste, start with 1½ cup)
Crushed ice (optional)

Blend thoroughly. Enjoy! High-quality raw cocoa powder has very high levels of antioxidants to keep you youthful.  You may also use raw carob powder as a substitute for the cocoa. I prefer very little or no ice, which makes digestion easier and avoids the “brain freeze”. Using very ripe bananas ensures your smoothie will be deliciously sweet without added sugar of any kind. You can also peal, section and freeze bananas for later use, then you won't need any ice.
